All gave some..

...and whatever you gave, in whatever way, in whichever branch, during during or between whichever wars, from one vet to another, thanks.

Not a vet, as I noted elsewhere, but I salute you and your colleagues for your honorable service.

And I'm glad you saw what I wrote on HA.

The worst part of being in the service during the Vietnam War, was all the civilians blamed us for the incompetence of Richard Nixon and his cronies; or prior to that, LBJ, Robert McNamara and crew.

At least now, the military doesn't get blamed for what BushCo inflicted on them, us and the Iraqi people.

Dick's had a free hamburger or cheeseburger for any veteran who went to any Dick's. The PI.com said you had to prove it - uniform or something else. I gave the kid at a window for the Lake City Dick's, a copy of my DD-214. He just laughed and said, "You don't have to prove it" as I ordered a cheeseburger with fries.

He'd probably never seen a DD-214. So it goes with no draft.
