"Route 66" by Nat King Cole comes to mind, as a song that would be on the little AM radio in a vintage Corvette perhaps; as someone rolled out onto the highway for the Fourth of July.

It came randomly to my mind, since I heard a great singer do that tune, at an outdoor concert at the Northgate Community Center, two days ago. Nat King Cole covered that tune, but like everything he did, he really made it his own.
